On a Sunday morning, I slow down. Am I working? Am I volunteering? I do not know.
For sure I do not count the hours, nor the money. In a world of speed, capitalism, big-tech and technologies that evolve faster than our understanding, I find it essential to pause, reflect, and go back to my pencils.
I am preparing for a workshop we will run on Tuesday, in cooperation with https://www.stgiles.school/ and https://www.kbtfagskole.no/
The drawing in the picture is part of that preparation.
It says that:
AI is a field of study
AI systems perform tasks like speech recognition and decision-making
Machine Learning helps detect patterns and enables learning
Generative AI creates new content: sound, code, images, text, video
Correct? Understandable?
When I get overwhelmed, writing and drawing it by hand is a way to come back to my self, to what I know and what I want.
When everything goes too fast, education must create space for critical thinking and each of us must find her way to learn into the future.
This is what we aim to do in the workshop on tuesday.

Because AI should not be something that happens to people, but something people can understand, shape, talk about and use responsibly.
